BARTLETT — On Columbus Day Weekend, Attitash Mountain Resort is set to host its 22nd Annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 12 and 13 at the Bear Peak base area.
This annual two-day festival celebrates the best of the fall season complete with traditional live Bavarian music from the world-renowned King Ludwig’s Band, German fare, and of course plenty of beer and cider.
Attitash also is planning on providing a wide variety of activities, with festivities to include corn hole boards, slack lining, a keg toss competition and the Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Competition.
The Kinderplatz area is all about the kids, with arts and crafts, face painting, and other mini games organized by the Mount Washington Children’s Museum. There will also be an inflatable obstacle course in the venue.
Hours for Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 12, are noon-6 p.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 13, noon-5 p.m.
Attendees are advised to bring a valid ID, as this is a drinking event.
Attitash officials note that due to the popularity of the event, dogs will not be allowed into the venue this year.
In addition to Oktoberfest, the Bear Peak lodge will be open with winter gear and apparel offered at clearance prices, and attendees will be able to purchase and pick up season ski passes for the 2019-20 season.
