CONWAY — Nearly 30 people went on a proposed logging cut tour on a rainy Wednesday of town-owned Whitaker Woods to view damage to several red oak trees that will have to be removed because of their being impacted by heavy spongy moth infestation and drought conditions from 2020-22.

The trees are located near heavily used recreation trails in the town-owned property that is located near North Conway Village.
