MOUNT WASHINGTON — Today marks the return of Friends of Tuckerman Ravine’s 19th annual Tuckerman Inferno Pentathlon, a five-part race that is slated to end with a ski or snowboard race in or near Mount Washington’s Tuckerman Ravine, conditions permitting.

“We’ll be making our (ski/snowboard) course determination Friday and posting that information on our Friends of Tuckerman Facebook page,” said Jake Risch, president of the non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the backcountry uses of skiing in the ravine and on Mount Washington.
