CONWAY — Chef Vito Marcello has been a force in the Mount Washington Valley for close to two decades, ever since coming to North Conway at the age of 24 to help out at his family’s restaurant — the same restaurant he now proudly runs with his mother, family matriarch Angela.

Born and raised in Providence, R.I., Marcello is a third-generation Italian — as well as a third-generation Vito. His grandpa Vito was born and raised on Mulberry Street in New York’s Little Italy, and many of his recipes have found their way onto the menu at Vito Marcello.
