JACKSON — Late May means one thing around this mountain hamlet: it's time for the annual Wildquack River Festival and Rubber Duck Race, which is set to splash off in the wild and scenic Wildcat River Sunday, May 29 as a fundraiser for the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.

Come race time at 2 p.m., the Wildcat River will have nearly 3,500 yellow rubber ducks racing against each other on their way to the finish line.
