CONWAY — With three games in four days the Kennett High ice hockey team ran into a bear of a schedule both literally and figuratively. The Eagles were able to bear down, take care of business and cap the stretch by collecting a record number of teddy bears for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.

KHS went on the road to Laconia Ice Arena and thrashed Laconia/Winnisquam 12-1 on Wednesday; avenged its lone loss of the season by beating state runner-up Berlin 4-0 at Ham Ice Arena on Thursday before more than 400 spectators; and handled Somersworth-Coe-Brown 5-2 at Ham Arena on Saturday, prior to the fourth annual Teddy Bear Toss.
