Art that is to be felt as much as it is to be seena display of hand-painted ceramic tiles, featuring the art of Chinese American artist Yang Yang, is set to be unveiled at this months Chamber Business After Hours at The Met Coffee House on Tuesday, Dec. 21. Yang Yang was born in Nanchang, Jiang Xi province in China. At a very early age, he began studying under master artists ZhuDa and Fu Baoshi, the pioneer of Chinese romantic landscape painting. In 1984 Yang moved to the United States and earned his masters degree in art. His early works followed traditional Chinese art theories and principles, which stress natural beauty and mysticism.As he continued his intensive training and studies, he fused his origins with modern art to create a truly inspiring and completely original style that has been celebrated throughout the art world.According to Yang, his artistic goal is to create a universal art that will seamlessly unify nature and humankind.His works have been featured in numerous U.S. and international publications. Yang Yang's paintings and sculptures have been collected and are on display worldwide. His paintings are acquired by private art collectors, corporations, and museums alike.The vibrant, hand painted ceramic art tiles are framed and ready to hang, and may be purchased at the Met for $49.99 each.
