CONWAY — A sure sign of summer in the valley returned Thursday night, as Arts Jubilee opened its 40th season and the big news is that it didn’t … rain!

In a rainy summer it’s a bit of an irony for Arts Jubilee, which in many years has experienced many rainouts. But that wasn’t the case for the opening night of the five-concert season there at the base of Cranmore.
