Don’t forget about town meeting and voting day on Tuesday, March 13. The polls are open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The school board meeting is at 5 p.m., and the town meeting begins at 8 p.m.
The following residents have filed for candidacy and will appear on the town meeting ballot: selectman, Richard Fortin; town moderator, Thaire Bryant; town clerk/tax collector, Suzanne Raiche; highway commissioner, both Richard Heath Jr. and Shane Gurney; supervisor of checklist, Katherine Goslee; auditor, vacant; trustee of the trust fund, Nancy Burns. The following residents filed for candidacy and will appear on the school meeting ballot: school board member (three years), vacant (but September Edge Quint has told me that she would like to be a write-in candidate); school moderator, Thaire Bryant; school treasurer, Suzanne Jones; school clerk, Holly Fortin. Every vote counts, so make sure you get out to vote on March 13 and be involved with your town. Ask for an absentee ballot if you can’t be there. Our town meeting is a perfect model of democracy, as everyone will get a chance to speak and voice an opinion in a peaceful manner.
