The Eaton Fourth of July picnic was a grand success. My guess is over 100 people attended and enjoyed delicious food, great weather with a breeze by the lake, and good camaraderie among neighbors, family and friends.

My first thank yous go to my two chefs extraordinaire: Tom Head and Dan Robins. (Chris Kennedy was visiting with family in California, but let us all know what we needed — thanks.) You guys did a super job grilling the hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers, and setting out all the rolls, too. There’s no picnic if you don’t have dynamite chefs.
