The selectmen have been very busy with various government people attending their meetings. At the last meeting in April, County Commissioners David Babson, Amanda Bevard, Terry McCarthy, County Treasurer Joe Costello and County Administrator Ken Robichaud attended.

Among the items under discussion was Chairman Rick Hiland’s hope that the commissioners and the selectmen could work together to get the increase in the Meals and Rooms revenue that had been promised but not realized. County Administrator Robichaud explained that the commissioners have tried to keep the county tax rate low even though the budget had increased.
