Summer is underway and Tamworth is taking on the air of a college town with attractive young people populating the streets, the Lyceum and The Other Store. Many of them are actors from The Barnstormers, learning their lines and may be sometimes seen rehearsing at the library, the Town House and various other village venues Be sure to attend this week's comedy "Boeing Boeing" at The Barnstormers. The theme revolves around Bernard, an architect in Paris ,whose plans with his harem of three fiancées, all stewardesses from different airlines are thwarted by the introduction of faster planes which disrupt his carefully timed scheduling to keep them apart. The stewardesses are from different countries, and the American, Gloria. is portrayed as being totally uninhibited, the German Gtetchen is beautiful, bombastic and overbearing, and the Italian, Gabriella as the most faithful to Bernard. Barnstormer's veteran actor Jean Mar Brown gives a stellar performance as the French maid Berthe. She is totally overwhelmed by the shenanigans , and menu changes resulting from the faster planes.
