CONWAY — Halloween Town is a special event each year with a special mission. It raises money for the Laura Foundation for Autism and Epilepsy in East Madison.

The foundation is named in memory of Laura (Hoyt) Mahoney. She ran the Inn and Millbrook, as well as the surrounding cottages, at Purity Spring Resort. She had the wonderful ability to remember everyone's special needs when they came to stay at the resort — special pillows, blankets, allergic precautions, food preferences, medications, etc. She and her mother Fran never seemed to forget anyone's name, story or needs.
