CONWAY — Christ Episcopal Church in North Conway honored longtime organist Nancy DuCette Farris at a song celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday, Jan. 12, on the occasion of her retirement.

Farris was blessed on the day of her retirement by the Rev. Sinclair Ender (Father Skippy), rector of Christ Church. Farris also received a formal letter of sppreciation from the Right Rev. Robert Hirschfeld, bshop of the Diocese of New Hampshire. Members of the Mount Washington Valley Choral Society, led by their conductor George Weise, and Farris’s son, Ralph Farris Jr., offered many musical tributes to God honoring Farris’s life of service to the church and the community. The congregation gave Farris Broadway tickets as a retirement gift. Farris plans on spending the first days of her retirement in New York City.
