LOVELL, Maine — Students from the Lovell Lego Robotics team competed against 25 other teams, ages 9 to 14, at the first Lego League Challenge state qualifiers on Nov. 17 in Jay, Maine.
Each team designs, builds and programs an autonomous Lego Mindstorms robot, to complete a variety of tasks. No remote controls are permitted. This year's theme is space exploration. Teams also research a real-life problem facing astronauts, and present their solutions.
