Each growing season, volunteers quietly assemble at the Sherman Farm in Center Conway and Spider Web Garden in Tuftonboro to glean second quality or excess produce from the farmers’ fields.

The program known as the Veggie Volunteers, harvested and delivered 9,830 pounds of produce worth approximately $17,583 to local food banks and meal programs. This produce helped produce more than 12,117 meals for low-income recipients just this year. Programs, like Vaughn Community Service, the Dinner Bell, Meals on Wheels, Mother Seton House and numerous others benefit greatly from the generosity of these two farms.
