Driving around town last weekend it didn’t appear as if we would be having much of a foliage season. The colors seemed rather bland. I should learn to be more patient. Only two days later, all the trees along the North-South Road had “popped” with the most brilliant shades of red, yellow and orange. Mother Nature seldom disappoints.
If you happen to be out admiring all the foliage next week, we hope you will stop by the Red Parka Pub in Glen. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Red Parka is presenting Bingo for a Cause from 6 to 8 p.m. The bingo cards are $1 apiece and all proceeds from bingo cards go to the Gibson Center. They will also be offering a special on Sam Adams and Deep Eddy beers with 50 cents from each one sold going to the Gibson Center. It’s a good cause and a great excuse for an evening out. We hope you will join us. See you at the Red Parka.
