EFFINGHAM — The Friends of Effingham Library will be presenting a One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change event on Thursday, May 16, at the Effingham Public Library at 30 Townhouse Road in Effingham.

One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change is an annual event that takes place globally and has been held for the past seven years in late September. For the past four years, writers' night at the Effingham Public Library has echoed the message of peace, with poetry and music for change with a November edition in the north country of New Hampshire.
