EFFINGHAM — Effingham writers' night will be celebrating National Poetry Month with poet Priscilla Burlingham and music by Mountain Road with Ed amd Heidi Fayle, Andy Prill and Peg Loughran in the meeting room of the Effingham Public Library at Effingham Public Library at 30 Town House Road in Effingham on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m.

Burlingham works on her poetry and painting all the time. Creatively, she usually has seven projects going at once, but when a poem comes, everything slides. Since the 1970s, each January, she has pursued applied physics at MIT with a special affinity for poetry and outer space. Burlingham has read her poetry all over New England, both as a feature and at open-mics. Her poetry can be found in journals: Exeter Where the River Meets Tide, The Other Side of Sorrow, Poet’s Showcase and Priscilla Burlingham@google.
