CONWAY — The Conway Public Library recently received a $4,000 grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts through their Youth Arts Project Grant program.

Working with Kennett Middle School the library will this fall run a 12-week course for up to 15 students on how to create graphic novels. At the conclusion of the course an exhibition of the students work will take place at the library. Students will also have their work memorialized in the form of a book with printing costs being underwritten by Minuteman Press. Other sponsors of the class include the Friends of the Conway Public Library and Artist and Craftsmen Supply of Portland, Maine.
