Wanda Munro Irish

Wanda Munroe Irish passed away peacefully and comfortably on Aug. 27, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Julie, under whose loving full-time care she spent the last three years of her life on this earth.

On March 3, 1944, she was born to Woodrow Munroe and Abbie Weeks Munroe, the youngest of three, joining sisters Mona and Sunny. Raised on Weeks Farm in South Chatham, Wanda attended the South Chatham one-room schoolhouse before attending the original Pine Tree Elementary School and graduating from Kennett High School in 1962.
