2-25-17-virginia-a.-sawyerVirginia Arlene Sawyer, 86, of Conway died at Memorial Hospital on Feb. 23, 2017.

She was born Jan. 27, 1931, the daughter of Carroll and Edna (Thompson) Butterfield. She was raised in Snowville by her grandparents, Maurice and Sadie Thompson. She attended the one-room school house there and later moved to Conway to attend Kennett High School.

She married Richard Hill in 1947 and they were together for 25 years raising their four daughters.
