Obituary: Mary Ann Magee McKeen

FRYEBURG, Maine — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Magee McKeen, 81, of Fryeburg, Maine, on May 30, 2026, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, dear friends and beloved pets.

Mary Ann was born on Dec. 7, 1944, in Winthrop, Mass., to William and Bertha Magee. Her love for animals began at a young age and remained a constant throughout her life. As a young woman, she worked as a hairdresser in Massachusetts before moving to Maine in 1977.
