Marjorie Ruth (Lord) Gourley, 90, daughter of the late Thomas and Kate Lord, passed on to peace and wellness in heaven with family present on Aug. 27, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Springfield, Mass,m on Sept. 9, 1926, her family moved to New Bedford, Mass., during her early years. She attended public school in New Bedford. Upon graduation from New Bedford High School, she went on to Forsythe Dental School in Boston, where she graduated in the spring of 1946.
