Constance (Connie) Smith was born at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H,. on June 5, 1934, to parents Beulah and Harry Seavey. She passed away on Nov. 10, 2024, at 90 years old.
North Conway was the center of her universe. She lived there until she was 65 and then only moved as far as Conway. She held many good jobs throughout her life. Babco, Carroll Reed Ski Shops, Cranmore Mountain, White Mountain Bank and the Gibson Center for Senior Services. She retired at 78 from the Gibson Center but continued to lunch there with friends as well as dine at night with her friends Evelyn and Cathy until her move to the Merriman House. She was very content at the Merriman House because it was in North Conway. At the start of her declining health, she always asked "was she in North Conway?”
