A meditational service of readings and Taize chants will be held at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 118 High Street in Sanbornville on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 6 pm. The songs of the Taize community will be complemented with prayer and selected readings from Scripture and other literature to offer an experience of peaceful reflection. The simple texts of the chants include: O Lord hear our prayer, Come and fill our hearts with your peace, Live in charity, Bless the Lord my soul, as well as others. Flute, violin, and organ will accompany the singing of the chants which will be followed by moments of quiet contemplation. All are welcome to attend this service.
