CONWAY — Starting Point is offering a parent forum on Oct. 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Advocacy Center, 30 Pleasant St. in Conway on the implications of social media for teens, with a focus on how to keep your child safe from perpetrators as well as discussing the consequences of sexting.

Starting Point prevention specialists and others in the field will discuss ways to provide guidelines and create open communications with your teen about being safe on social media, recognizing that what appears on the internet stays forever on the internet. The discussion will cover tips for creating practices for your child’s digital footprint that will ensure a positive and safe future public domain on social media.
