MANCHESTER — The American Red Cross is urging donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets now to keep the blood supply steady over the busy holiday season. Types O positive, O negative and B negative blood donors are especially needed. Schedule a blood or platelets donation appointment by using the Red Cross Blood Donor app, going to redcrossblood.org or calling (800) RED CROSS — (800) 733-2767.
For a limited time, those who come to give between Dec. 8 and Dec. 18 will receive a $15 Amazon Gift Card by email.
