EATON — They call her Ma'am. And for 50 years she has been part of the camping experience at Waukeela Camp in Eaton, first as a cabin counselor, then as a swimming instructor and, since 1971, as waterfront director.
As waterfront director, Stevie "Ma'am" Thomas oversees all of the camp's lake activities, including swimming, diving, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
