In America, we’ve seen all sorts of automobiles from the finest German sport-touring cars to inexpensive Japanese commuters, that have gone upscale to compete with the very European cars they once only hoped they could become.

American cars and trucks have always held the stalwart, cornerstone position on the U.S. automotive landscape. Italian cars, known for their curvaceous and exotic styling, sat in stark contrast to their barren counterparts from Eastern bloc countries, while somewhere in the middle, British car offerings ranged from the economical Austin to the deluxe Aston Martin.
