CONWAY — Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce launched its “Learn from a Local, Live Like a Local” campaign in the fall of 2021. It began as a way to humanize the valley, in response to the influx of visitors the valley received after COVID-19 lockdowns. The program aims to remind all who spend their time in Mt. Washington Valley, that it is not just a tourism destination, but also the home to over 30,000 residents encompassing 26 communities in two states.
In its second year, “Learn from A Local, Live Like a Local” continues to tell the story of visiting Mount Washington Valley through a local lens. The chamber collaborates with locals who highlight their best day spent here. Their itineraries touch on food, shopping, activities, and their favorite nonprofits to support. The responsible and respectful use of natural resources, and signing the MWV Pledge are also pillars to the “Learn from a Local, Live Like a Local” content.
