Hathaway podcast passes 200 episodes

The Madison Garden Club plant sale will be held at the Madison Elementary School on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon. They will have herbs, perennials and vegetables available for purchase. Most of the perennials come from the members gardens. This sale supports the cost of planting and care of all of the town gardens. "Message from the Mountain," a podcast that blends nature and spirituality with a Maine accent, recently surpassed its 200th edition. Begun by author and musician, Michael Hathaway in September 2007, the show is a five-minute reflection of life in the foothills of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and how nature evolves around our beliefs. Mike usually does the daily broadcast while hiking the trails connecting to the White Mountain Hypnosis Center in Madison. The view from the summit of the land looks out on the mountains of the presidential range to the north, and south to Mount Chocorua and the lakes region. The podcast site contains the latest 50-plus episodes, and the earlier ones are posted on his Web site. The podcast is free, and the listenership has steadily grown over the past eight months. Michael Hathaway is the author of seven books including "The Everything Hypnosis Book," "An Idiot's Guide to Past Life Regression," "The Only Psychic Power Book You Will Ever Need," and "It's Time To Simplify your Soul's Code." On Saturday, May 31, (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.), "A Celebration of Spirit" will take place at the Community School, in South Tamworth. Planned topics and workshops being offered: animal communication, honoring your soul's purpose, hypnosis for peace of mind, review of astrology, healing with music, labyrinths, orbs, using universal energy for wellness as well as many other topics.Elaine Conners Center for Wildlife will be doing a program for "kids of all ages" at the Madison library next Saturday morning, the 17th. Nevin Moreira passed away on Dec. 14 at Fort Lewis, Wash., as a casualty of the Iraq war. Nevin had served in the Army, with two deployments to Iraq. Nevin was born on Feb. 12, 1984 and was an honorable and proud soldier. Joanne has two other children in the Army, Sgt. Jason Morreira and Sgt. Kelly Morreira, who was home for one day before suffering a blood clot as a result of the plane ride home. She was hospitalized at Maine Medical Center and transferred to the Warrier Transition Unit of Westpoint, New York the day after Thanksgiving.
