Say what you will, this has been one very unusual spring as far as weather is concerned. It started out fairly well in the month of April but then along came May, the skies opened and we all wondered when the rain would stop. Theres no doubt we were a lot luckier than the folks down south but you must admit, its really nice to see the sun again.Its Memorial Day weekend and this year the Gibson Center will be holding its first Memorial Day Craft Fair on the front lawn. The fair will go on Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. The weathermen are predicting a lovely weekendfor the most partso mark your calendars and plan to join us for a fun time at the fair. Gibson will be closed this Monday but dont forget to join us in the activity room on Tuesday, May 30, at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Vassill Vasco of Fryeburg Chiropractic and Wellness Center will be here to give his final presentation on the importance of exercise." This program is free and open to the public.As I mentioned earlier, we will be closed this Monday in celebration of Memorial Day. I couldnt find a schedule of events, but I hope we all can find a little time that day to remember our veterans, past and present, which have done so much for our country. Many families across the nation will be celebrating this holiday weekend without their mom or dad, sister or brother. Let's keep these special individuals in our thoughts that day and show our support by attending some Memorial Day event.
