CONWAY — M&D Playhouse will be holding auditions for Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," adapted by John Mortimer and dramatized with flair and wit in a version first performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, and Monday, Sept. 23, at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse at 2760 White Mountain Highway in North Conway.

This adaptation of the ageless story captures Dickens’ ironic point of view while it creates a panoramic view of Victorian London. All of the much loved characters are in place to tell the story of joy and redemption.
