In December of 2023, North Conway received 7.35 inches of rain, 2.8 inches above the average. A severe rainstorm occurred between Dec. 17 and 18, with a total rainfall of 2.14 inches. Not only did this rainfall put a delay on all winter sport activities and cause damage to roadways and properties, but also put a strain on stream ecosystems.
