CONWAY — This month’s First Friday concert features “Songs of the Seafarer,” music inspired by voyages and the sea. Pieces by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Mahler, and more will be performed by The Arpeggione Ensemble, a professional, historically informed chamber music organization. Among its members is George Wiese, Mountain Top Music Center’s executive director.

The group is based in the Boston area, but this week the headwinds shifted and the Good Ship Arpeggione veered inland, miraculously navigating the Saco River before running aground in Conway, marooning its musical crew at the Majestic Theatre. Hear their songs on Friday at 1 p.m.
