Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" concludes the nine-film "Star Wars" saga. (COURTESY OF LUCASFILMS)

Right up front, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is good. Die hard fans will probably be harsher on the film, but more casual fans will likely be satisfied by the conclusion of the latest “Star Wars” trilogy.

“Rise of Skywalker” has a nearly impossible task. Not only must it conclude the current trilogy of films started in 2015 with “The Force Awakens” and continued two years later in “The Last Jedi,” but it must cap the nine-film saga that first began in 1977.
