OSSIPEE — While the nation and the county went blue, Carroll House District 5 candidate Steven Brown bucked the trend and defeated not only his Democratic rival but also a Republican write-in with the backing of the County GOP.
Meanwhile the control of the Carroll County legislative delegation appears to hang by one vote as it appears that George Randell has defeated Tammy Garthwaite (R-Wakefield) by a tally of 5,070-5,069.
