CONWAY — Strongman Ted Sares made five of six lifts to win his division at the Mass Barbell in West Boylston, Mass., in the APA Northeastern USA Championships on Dec. 1.
Sares, 81, of North Conway, said he would have been a perfect six for six had it not been for “a missed command in his first bench press attempt thanks in part to his less-than-keen-hearing and the heavy metal background music which is standard for these events.”
