CONWAY — Ted Sares of North Conway is the oldest Strongman competitor in the United States. When the North Conway residents participated in the Strongman competition in Boston on Sept. 22, Dione Masters, CEO and president of North American Strongman, Inc., confirmed the millstone.

Strongman competition is totally different from Powerlifting though many athletes compete in both sports; Strongman depends on brute strength more than technique.
