STANDISH, Maine — Senior co-captains Julia Quinn and Lexi L'Heureux-Carland, both Fryeburg Academy alumni, Class of 2016, continue their collegiate seasons on the basketball hardwood for the Saint Joseph's Monks (18-8, 10-2 conference) in the Greater Northeast Athletic Conference tournament semifinals on Thursday night. The Monk's final regular-season game was a 62-46 Senior Day victory over Regis (15-11 regular season, 9-3 conference) last Saturday. The victory assured the second seed and homecourt advantage for the Monks through at least the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Quinn finished Senior Day with her best game of the season, scoring 20 points while shooting 3-6 on three-pointers and 5-6 from the free-throw line. L'Heureux-Carland turned in a solid statistical line with six points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. The Monks were in command throughout the second half.
