CONWAY — The Kennett High track team got its season off on the right foot last week with strong showings at the annual Cornelius Relays at Newfound High School last Tuesday.

“It was a day of firsts,” Coach Bernie Livingston said. “For the first time since 1993, it wasn’t held on a weekend. And, it was always with other teams. This year, because the meet was postponed, it ended up being just us and Newfound. Newfound is a good team, and, like us, has good numbers out.
