CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine — Top-seeded Cape Elizabeth struck for six runs in the second inning on Saturday which proved to be too big of a hurdle for No. 5 seed Fryeburg Academy in the Class B baseball semifinals. The Capers went on to win 7-2 to advance to the Class B Regional Final.

“We didn’t hit,” Greg Allain, Raiders’ head coach, said by phone on Monday. “We gave up a few too many runs in the second inning. We made a couple of mistakes and they came back to bite us. If not for the second inning, we win 2-1.”
