GORHAM, Maine — There was more than just the final score of 48-6 that was impressive in the Fryeburg Academy football team’s viceroy at Gorham on Friday night.

It was the confidence with which the Raiders played. They are confident in themselves and in each other. The offensive line trusts the backs, and the backs trust the line. The line is confident that if they make their blocks, the backs will run strong and fast, just as the backs have faith the line will create those blocks. The same trust exists between the defensive line and the linebackers.
