DURHAM — The Kennett High track team closed the book on the 2024-25 high school sports season when four Eagles competed at the State Track and Field Championships at Oyster River High School in Durham last Sunday. Senior Quintin Plourde led the hometown flock, finishing third overall in the 100- and 200-meter finals.

Those performances punched Plourde’s ticket to the New England Track and Field Championship in Connecticut this Saturday. Still, the talented senior has a prior commitment that day — he’ll take part in graduation with his fellow Class of 2025 classmates at 10 a.m., hopefully outdoors in Gary Millen Stadium.
