CONWAY — Mackenzie Murphy became the ninth Kennett High ice hockey player and first defenseman in the program’s history to reach the 100-point mark for his career when he recorded a pair of assists in the 7-2 victory over Carroll County rival Kingswood at Pop Whalen Arena in Wolfeboro on Friday night.

“Kenzie becoming the first defenseman in our program to reach 100 career points is a pretty cool thing,” said Michael Lane, Eagles’ head coach. “I couldn’t be more happy for him, he’s earned it, he’s a pretty special player.”
