Aida Wheat - Portland State - 300 meters

Former Kennett High standout Aida Wheat of Jackson finished 17th in the 300 meters for Portland State University at the annual Spokane (Washington) Invitational on Dec. 14. She was the top Viking in 45.05 (Washington State’s Brooke Lyons won the race in 38.82). DURHAM — Kennett High senior Piper Lopashanski continued her winning ways in the 600 meters by shaving 5 seconds off her time from the previous week when the Eagles competed in their second indoor track meet of the season at the Paul Sweet Oval on the campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham last Saturday.

Lopashanski highlighted the day for the athletes from Conway by winning the 600 in 1:48.42.
