CONWAY — Saturday embodied everything great about athletics and this wonderful community. The Kennett High hockey team hosted Carroll County rival Kingswood at the Ham Arena for its fifth annual Kennett Hockey Fights Cancer Game. And, what a game it was. The host Eagles came out on top 2-1 on the scoreboard thanks to a last-minute goal, but the big winner on the night was the community, which came together to raise more than $14,000 to fight cancer.
Kennett Hockey has raised over $60,000 in five years for this cause.
