CONWAY — You couldn’t have come up with a better script for the home opener for the Kennett High baseball team on Monday. It started with Linda Burns throwing a perfect strike in the ceremonial first pitch and ended with junior Nate Grames tossing a five-inning no-hitter with the Eagles winning 11-0 over Manchester West at Robert Burns Sr. Varsity Baseball Field on the 10-run mercy rule.
Grames was almost perfect. He walked just two but accounted for 13 of the 15 outs by strikeouts.
