CONWAY — The North Conway Tennis Association, New Hampshire-based Advantage Kids (advantagekids.net) and United States Tennis Association-certified Teaching Professional Justin Chafee will facilitate weekly programs for youth indoor tennis at Cranmore this fall and winter beginning Oct. 23.

Thanks to a USTA New Hampshire grant, supervised court time, and individual and group lessons will be available to children in grades 5-12 at little to no cost throughout the indoor season.

All levels are encouraged to participate on a sign-up basis.

These supervised clinics will be led by Chafee as well as USTA-certified Instructors Kent and Carolyn Hemingway.

The schedule for tennis clinics goes as follows:

-- Grades 5-8: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4-5 p.m.

-- Grades 9-12: Wednesdays, 3-4 p.m. and Sundays 9-11 a.m.

Individual and small group lessons are also available throughout the week as needed.

All October and November clinic sessions will be offered at no charge thanks to USTA-NH grant funding. Subsequent sessions will be available at a subsidized $10-per-session rate.

In addition Saturday morning USTA Team Challenge events, introducing children in grades 3-6 to the sport, will be offered in December, March and June, following up on the successful team vhallenges conducted at Cranmore and the Jackson Tennis Club last year.
